A 1994 batch IPS officer, Amitabh Kumar Das, who was retired from service, has written a letter to the DGP of Bihar demanding an inquiry into the death of wife of Minister Mewalal Choudhary in mysterious condition last year in May. He requested the DGP to constitute an SIT to investigate and expedite the case in line with Sushant Singh Rajput case.
