It was a proud moment for RailTel when 28 students of its CSR initiative Akansha Super 30, Dehradun made it to JEE Mains 2021bringing them one step closer to securing admission to premiere league engineering colleges like IIT, NIT and other Govt engineering colleges of India. RailTel, in association with Centre for Social Responsibility and leadership, New Delhi, established a Super 30 Centre at Dehradun in 2015. This coaching centre provides free training to30 underprivileged but talented students from Uttarakhand for 11 months for admission examinations of reputed engineering colleges like IIT, NIT and state engineering colleges.These 30 students were selected on merit basis through examination and interview designed to test their knowledge, mental ability and career aspiration. Due to COVID19 pandemic, this year, the coaching was continued using virtual classroom sessions and practice test being conducted online. Expressing his delight over this tremendous result, Sh. Puneet Chawla, CMD/RailTel said, “The performance of the centre has been exceptional as65 Students made it to IIT/ NIT’s and 75 made it to other state engineering colleges in the last five years. It is the hard work of the students that is helping them forgea successful career. We are happy to play a small role in mentoring these talented kids in their journey of becoming an Engineer.”
