10,306 borrowers defaulted payments in last four years

According to the RBI’s Central Repository of Information on Large Credits (CRILC) database, the total number of willful defaulters – with aggregate credit exposure of Rs 5 crore and above – of scheduled commercial banks (SCBs) and all Indian financial institutions in the last four years stood at 10,306, Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat K Karad informed the Rajya Sabha in a written reply on Tuesday.
