10 IPS officers of 1996 batch empanelled as Joint Secretary in GoI

As many as 10 IPS officers of 1996 batch have been empanelled for holding Joint Secretary or equivalent post in Government of India. Accordingly, Mrs Vineet Sharma and Hiren Chandra Nath of Assam-Meghalaya cadre; Dr Nikhil Jayaprakash Gupta and Chiranjeev Prasad of Maharashtra; Mohd Shahid Absar and Balbir Singh of MP; Mrs Charu Sinha, Mrs Ritu Mishra and Anil Kumar of Telangana and Vikram Thakur of UP cadre have been empanelled.
