11 IPS officers worked as DGP in Patnaik’s 17 years tenure as CM, Odisha

Naveen Patnaik, who has been enjoying the post of Chief Minister of Odisha since 2000, has worked with 11 DGPs in his 17 years' tenure and now R P Sharma joined as 12 DGP under the regime of Patnaik on August 31. Interestingly, only two IPS officers: N C Padhi and Manmohan Praharaj successfully completed more than three years in the office. Patnaik first started working with S K Chatterjee in March 2000. Later on with K D Bajpai, N C Padhi, B B Mishra, Suchit Das, A Pattanayak, Gopal C Nanda, M Prakash Mishra, Sanjeev Marik and K B Singh and now R P Sharma respectively.
