As many as 12 officers of State Forest Service (SFS) of Assam Segment of Assam-Meghalaya Joint Cadre have been promoted to the Indian Forest Service (IFoS) for the Select Lists of 2017, 2018 and 2019. Aftabuddin Ahmed, Brahma Nanda Patiri, Aiswarzyamai Goswami, Rabi Sing Engti have been promoted against Select List of 2017. Similarly, Jogonath Rongpi, Nando Ram Teron and Nikhil Chandra Nath were promoted for Select List of 2018. Officers promoted for Select List of 2019 are: Sushil Kumar Thakuria, Muhammad Abdel Salam Arief, Dilip Kumar Deka, Bidyut Barthakur and Shafiqur Rahman.
