136 IAS officers empanelled as Secretary in GoI

A total of 136 IAS officers of different cadres - belonging to 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987 and 1988 batches – were empanelled as Secretary or Secretary Equivalent at the Centre in almost two years from July 2018 to April 2020. Maximum 54 IAS officers were empanelled in one go on July 19, 2018. Among them 19 IAS officers were from 1984, 1985 and 1986 batches. And on the same day, 35 IAS officers from 1986 batch were also empanelled as Secretary or Equivalent at the Centre. On May 6, 2019, seven IAS officer of 1985 and 1986 batches, on October 9 last year 41 IAS officers from 1985, 1986 and 1987 batches were empanelled and on April 13 this year 34  IAS officer of 1987 and 1988 batches were empanelled as Secretary or Secretary equivalent at the Centre.
