According to the RBI’s Central Repository of Information on Large Credits (CRILC) database, a total number of 2,840 borrowers – with aggregate credit exposure of Rs 5 crore and above – have been reported as willful defaulters of scheduled commercial banks (SCBs) and all Indian financial institutions in 2020-21, Minister of State for Finance Bhagwat K Karad informed the Rajya Sabha in a written reply on Tuesday.
