20 critical and strategic minerals identified by committee set up by Mines Ministry

The committee constituted by the Ministry of Mines has identified about 20 critical and strategic minerals and has recommended the establishment of a National Institute or “Centre of Excellence on Critical Minerals” (CECM). While seven of these Critical Mineral Blocks are in Tamil Nadu, four in Odisha,  three are in Bihar, two in Uttar Pradesh and one each is Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Jharkhand and Jammu & Kashmir.
