Since 2016 a total of 24 CPSEs have been identified for closure by the Central Government. They are State Trading Corporation of India Ltd , Andaman and Nicobar Integrated Development Corporation Ltd, Bharat Jute Mills Ltd, Bharat Wagons and Engineering Ltd, Birds Jute & Exports Ltd, Central Inland Water Transport Corporation Ltd, CREDA-HPCL Biofuel Ltd, Elgin Mills Co. Ltd, Hindustan Cables Ltd, Hindustan Organic Cables Ltd ( 9 units), Hindustan Photo Films Mfg. Co Ltd, Hindustan Vegetable Oil Corporation Ltd, HMT Bearings Ltd, HMT Chinar Watches Ltd, HMT Watches Ltd, National Jute Manufacturers Corporation Ltd, PEC Ltd, , STCL Ltd, Triveni Structurals Ltd, Tungabhadra Steel Products Ltd and Tyre Corporation of India Ltd.
