The Union Ministry of Law and Justice have informed the Rajya Sabha that 25 high courts across the country are functioning with 453 Judges less than the sanctioned strength of 1,098. At present, the combined working strength of all high courts is 645 Judges. Law Minister Kiren Rijiju gave the information while responding to a query by Rajya Sabha MP John Brittas.
