3.55 million increase in telephone connections

At the end of November, the total number of telephones was 1184.87 million, compared to 1181.32 million by the end of October, showing an increase of 3.55 million. Maximum rise in total telephone connections was recorded in Andhra Pradesh (504154) followed by Bihar (477039) and Gujarat (366689). However, Kolkata and Mumbai recorded a maximum fall in telephone connections over previous month.
