34 bureaucrats to be Nodal officers for Central Schemes

The Centre has appointed 34 bureaucrats including IFoS and 33 IAS officers to supervise Central schemes for street vendors. These Nodal Officers will assist states and supervise the implementation of Prime Minister Street Vendor's Atma Nirbhar Nidhi scheme in the country. The scheme, being implemented from July 1, is aimed at providing affordable loans to street vendors to resume their livelihoods that had been hit due to lockdown. Niranjan Kumar Singh is the only Indian Forest Service officer, who has been appointed Nodal Officer and has been assigned Gujarat state. All these officers are Joint Secretaries in various ministries.
