As many as 20 posts of Accountant  Members (including 1 of President, 4 Vice Presidents and 15 members), against a sanctioned strength of 63 and 16 of Judicial Members (including 4 posts of Vice Presidents and 12 members), against a sanctioned strength of 63, are lying vacant in Income Tax Appellate Tribunal (ITAT), under Department of Legal Affairs. Thus out of total of 126 sanctioned posts in ITAT, 36 are lying vacant as of April 1, 2022.
