In the banking sector, there are four MDs & CEOs of public sector banks believed to be considered key executives by the Central Government when it comes to any new venture or policy intervention requiring senior bankers to handle alongwith the bureaucrats.Their names are-- Mritunjay Mahapatra, presently MD & CEO of Syndicate Bank, Karnam Sekar, MD & CEO of Indian Overseas Bank, P S Jayakumar, MD & CEO of Bank of Baroda and R A Sankara Narayanan, MD & CEO of Canara Bank.This has come about more after the successful merger of Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank with Bank of Baroda.
