50,000 files weeded out

The CBIC after reviewing 1,27 lakh physical files, weeded out over 50, 000 files. After disposing of a large quantity of scrap, the board was able to free up more than 65,000 sq ft of office space. This could be achieved after a month-long special campaign for disposal of pending matters - 2.The board also disposed off almost 700 kg of e-waste during the period.
