₹53,866.50 crore deal for eight next generation corvettes

The Ministry of Defence signed contracts with GRSE and Goa Shipyard Limited for eight Next Generation Corvettes. GRSE will construct five and GSL three. The ships will have advanced missiles, weapons and sensor suites, with anti-submarine, anti-surface and maritime surveillance capabilities.
