8 IPS officers promoted as ADGP in Punjab

Eight IPS officers of 1995 and 1996 batch in Punjab have been promoted as ADGP. Those promoted are: L K Yadav, Rajiv Ahir, Vibhu Raj, G Nageswara Rao, Amit Prasad, Kapil Dev, Pramod Ban and M F Farooqui. Five of the promoted officers have been assigned new responsibility. Amit Prasad has been posted as ADGP, Counter Intelligence & Organised Crime Control Unit (OCCU), while Vibhu Raj was made ADGP, Vigilance Bureau and MF Farooqui will join as ADGP, Public Grievances. Similarly, Pramod Ban was appointed as ADGP, Special Crimes and Economic Offences and L K Yadav is ADGP, Vigilance Bureau. Two of promoted officers Kapil Dev and Rajiv Ahir are on central deputation.
