9 IAS officers in Assam handed over new assignment

As many as nine IAS officers in Assam have been handed over new responsibilities. Mrs Varnali Deka has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar, while Ghanshyam Dass is posted as Secretary, Social Welfare and Megha Nidhi Dahal was made Deputy Commissioner, Sivasagar. Similarly, Bishnu Kamal Borah will be posted as Joint Secretary and Director, Information & Public Relation; Anupam Choudhary as Deputy Commissioner, Hojai; Syedain Abbasi, ACS, Public Health Engineering & Water Resources, is also posted as ACS, Information Technology as additional charge, while Niraj Verma, PS, Home, is relieved from the additional charge of PS, Science & Technology and Information Technology Department and Gyanendra Dev Tripathi, Commissioner & Secretary, Environment & Forest, has been handed over additional charge of Commissioner & Secretary, Science & Technology Department. Besides, Sadnek Singh is transferred and will report to the Personnel Department for his posting.
