A maverick IPS officer of UP cadre becomes talk of the town

A 1992 batch IPS officer Dawa Sherpa has become the talk of the town after he was appointed as Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) in Gorakhpur range, a home town of present Chief Minister in Uttar Pradesh. The officer has created a history in Indian Police Service (IPS) being absent in service for four years and returning to the fold after doing active politics.
