A memorable occasion in the annals of history in Madhya Pradesh

It was a memorable occasion in the annals of history of Home Guards  in Madhya Pradesh when 2790 termporary Home Guard Saniks who rendered services during Singhastha Mahakumbh-2016,  were  inducted into regular service of Home Guard.These temporary Home Guard Sainiks were languishing and running from pillar to post since Sept 2016, that is for the last one and half years in the hope of getting a suitable placement. A proposal was mooted by Mahan Bharat Sagar, I.P.S. Director General, Home Guards, Civil Defence & Disaster Management, Bhopal to consider their induction enmasse as regular Home Guards giving one time relaxation in recruitment rules as a special case in Dec' 2017.  The proposal was accepted by the Madhya Pradesh Government and now these Jawans would be paid a salary of Rs. 20,280/- per month. Rs. 75 Crore will be spent on them annually.
