Atul Garg has been appointed new Chairman of IBA. He is a serving MD, PNB. This is the first time that PNB’s serving boss and same bank's nominee has been re-elected. According to sources conventionally this post goes by rotation. And if the Government had adopted convention it should have gone to the Bank of Maharashtra serving MD.
