Allotment of sub-cadres of IRMS both through CSE and ESE

Railway Board has decided that from the year 2025 onwards, officers will be recruited to 8 sub-cadres of Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) both through the Civil Service Exam (CSE) as well as Engineering Service Exam (ESE) as per the amendments in the recruitment rules of IRMS. So far as the three batches of officers recruited/being recruited to the IRMS through the CSE-2022, 23 and 24 is concerned, theses probationers will be given a choice to opt for either of the three sub-cadres of IRMS i.e. IRMS (Traffic), IRMS (Personnel) or IRMS (Accounts).
