Amid tussle, WB Govt appoints ten Ombudsman for MGNREGA Districts
After funds for MGNREGA were stopped for the state of West Bengal by the Union Government for non compliance of MGNREGA Act with regard to appointment of Ombudsman who act as an apex judicial officer in this regard, ten new Ombudsman are appointed. They are: Dr Mihir Mondal, Indranath Ghosh, P Chattopadhyay, Bhimchandra mondal, Phaguni Mahto, Debarata Saha, Govind Agarwal, B Halder, Sanjit Tarafdar and A K Banik.
