An upbeat work of IAS officer in UP

Setting an example for other bureaucrats, Dr Prabhat Kumar, Commissioner, Meerut Division, UP, has taken up the task for manually cleaning river and nullah in his area. Dr Kumar, who belongs to 1985 batch senior IAS officer, has been doing excellent work all-around, but particularly noteworthy is his campaign to clean and revive the Hindon River in western UP, using innovative techniques like crowd funding of money. What is most remarkable is that a few days ago, Dr Prabhat, amongst the senior most IAS officers in the UP cadres, himself went into the nullah like Hindon River and cleaned it with his own hands, along with other volunteers. In addition, he has done some great work in eradicating corruption in UP, and remains an extremely popular and liked civil servant on Twitter (https://twitter.com/PKumar59), where he regularly addresses people's complaints directly and is very approachable.
