Anthony de Sa shortlisted for Commonwealth Prize

Anthony de Sa (IAS-MP-1980), who writes under the pen name of “Tino de Sa”, has been shortlisted for the 2025 Commonwealth Prize. His story “Tamarind” is included in the short list of twenty-five, chosen by an international panel of judges, from among over 8,000 entries  from 54 countries. The announcement was made in London on April 15th. The Commonwealth prize is one of the most global and prestigious of international literary awards for short stories. The final prize will be announced in June. De Sa has, in the past, twice won the first prize in the Times of India national short story competitions – in 2017 and 2019. He is the author of three books.
