Appointment of CMD, BHEL: message is clear; no remark works in Modi regime

The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) chaired by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi overlooked the remarks of Ministry of Heavy Industry and Public Enterprises and took the decision on the basis of recommendations made by Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB). The concerned Ministry had doubted on the calibre of Dr Nalin Shinghal (presently serving as CMD, Central Electronics Limited) selected by PESB, for the post of Chairman-cum-Managing Director of a Maharatna PSU, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL). But the ACC did not care the concern of the Ministry and approved his appointment to the post.
