Appointment of new Election Commissioner delayed ?

The directive of the Supreme Court to the central government to enact a law for appointing independent or neutral members to the Election Commission has now delayed the  new appointment for a couple of months . It said  that a proper mechanism was needed to select the chief election commissioner and other members of the country's top poll watchdog.Meanwhile, names of about half a dozen former IAS officers including Sunil Arora, V S Oberai,Anjuli Chib Duggal, P K Pujari and B P Sharma have already started doing the round for the post.
