Appointment of Sr. Bank execs may be delayed

Whispers are that it could get slightly longer for Govt notification (a month longer) to be issued for appointment of senior banking executives and those from financial institutions recommended by Banks Board Bureau during the past two to three months. It generally takes two months for the Govt to issue the notification but due to COVID-19 situation it may take longer as files are sent from Finance Ministry to ACC and then put before the PMO for the final go ahead.
