Apurva Chandra is Chairperson of Committee A of the World Health Assembly

India is chairing Committee A of the 77th World Health Assembly being held in Geneva from May 27 –June 1, 2024. For this, Union Health Secretary Apurva Chandra has been appointed as the Chairperson of Committee A of the World Health Assembly.This committee will facilitate discussions on various programmatic topics covering universal health coverage, public health emergency preparedness and response, antimicrobial resistance, climate change, sustainable financing for WHO, etc.
