Are PSBs given task to achieve loan target?

The Public Sector banks are facing a new headache. They have been asked to distribute loans, especially to those whose CIBIL score is strong. Almost all branch manager have been supplied a list of probable customers to approach and pursue them to take loan. Now branch managers are busy to achieve the given target .This forced target has reportedly hampering branch working. Now the question is-when the country’s economy is reportedly strong then why the loan disbursement to reluctant?
