Army upgrading various units

The Indian Army is upgrading its various units amid Operation Sindoor's success. In the artillery with the Extended Range (ER) Pinaka, doubling the strike range to 75 km with GPS-guided precision (25-meter accuracy). This enhances deep-fire missions and battlefield lethality. Similarly, approved by the Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) in August 2025, the Army has upgraded 'Thermal Imager-based Driver Night Sight for BMP (Boyevaya Mashina Pekhoty). This enhances night operations for the Mechanised Infantry’s BMP vehicles.
