Arun Goel paves way for equivalent rank IAS officers

Arun Goel is the first IAS officer who has paved way for becoming full fledged Secretary in the Government of India. 1985 batch IAS officer of Punjab cadre who was empanelled to the Secretary  equivalent rank  has been appointed Secretary Culture in the GoI. In the past only 1982 batch IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre Snehlata Srivatava had been appointed full fledged Secretary Justice though she was given equivalent rank.
