Austerity measures announced by new CMD Air India

Rajiv Bansal, Additional Secretary, Petroleum and Natural Gas, who recently took over an additional charge of Chairman-cum-Managing Director, Air India Limited, has announced new austerity measures by withholding extra costs and expenses. The new CMD, in his maiden order, made it clear that all the proposals received for the post-retirement engagements of employees and renewals will be kept in abeyance till further orders, except for operational/licensed category which is to be put up through Personnel Department, Headquarters.
