Australian Consul General Visits Coal India UPDATED

Australian Consul General in Kolkata, Mr. Bernard Lynch, visited the corporate office of Coal India Limited in Kolkata and met Coal India Chairman Shri B. Sairam.

The meeting focused on strengthening strategic cooperation between Australia and Coal India in key areas of mutual interest. Discussions included progress in securing and developing critical minerals, an area of growing importance for both countries.

The two sides also explored opportunities for collaboration in advanced mining equipment and technologies (METS), with an emphasis on leveraging technological expertise to support modern and sustainable mining practices.

The interaction reflects the growing scope for cooperation between India and Australia in the mining and critical minerals sectors and could further strengthen institutional and technological partnerships between the two countries.
