B S Bhalla appointed as Member, Technical, APTEL

Bhupinder Singh Bhalla has been appointed as Member (Technical), Appellate Tribunal for Electricity (APTEL). This position requires at least 25 years of specialized knowledge and professional experience in areas such as electricity generation, transmission, distribution, regulation, economics, business, commerce, law, or finance. Bhalla’s appointment comes eight months after his retirement as Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. He is a former IAS officer from the 1990 batch of the AGMUT cadre.
