Banks to remain closed for 21 days in October

With the festive season setting in, private and public sector banks across the country will observe holidays for a total of 21 days in October. In addition to second and fourth Saturdays, as well as five Sundays, the month will feature 14 bank holidays with the first holiday falling on Gandhi Jayant

With the festive season setting in, private and public sector banks across the country will observe holidays for a total of 21 days in October. In addition to second and fourth Saturdays, as well as five Sundays, the month will feature 14 bank holidays with the first holiday falling on Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. This would be followed by other festivals like Durga Puja and Dussehra or Vijayadashmi on October 5. Diwali or Deepawali bank holiday will be observed on October 24 all banks in India except some states.
