It’s tough to be PM Narendra Modi’s Private Secretary to keep up with his energy to get maximum work done in a day. The selection for appointing PM’s Private Secretary also depends on the ability of the officers to keep up with that kind of energy and organizational skills to get more work done. Vivek Kumar’s appointment as PM’s Private Secretary may not have been just a breeze as screening might have been done for many other officers to find out if they can keep up with the pace of work in the PMO. It may be recalled that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet had recently appointed Vivek Kumar, presently working as Director in the Prime Minister’s office as Private Secretary to Prime Minister. He is an Indian Foreign Service officer of 2004 batch.
