BEML delivers strong Q1 FY27 performance with 29% revenue growth

Bengaluru: BEML Limited, India’s leading indigenised heavy equipment manufacturer and a Schedule ‘A’ PSU under the Ministry of Defence, has announced its financial results for the first quarter of FY 2026–27, showcasing strong operational momentum and continued business growth.

The Company recorded Revenue from Operations of Rs 820 crore, registering a robust 29% growth over the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Value of Production (VoP) stood at Rs 777 crore, reflecting a healthy 16% growth, supported by improved execution across its key business verticals.

A key milestone during the quarter was BEML’s return to positive EBITDA of Rs 3 crore, marking the first positive quarterly EBITDA in the last ten years. The achievement reflects the Company’s sustained focus on operational efficiency, productivity enhancement and strengthening business fundamentals.

BEML also witnessed a strong 172% year-on-year growth in order inflow, securing orders worth Rs 1,181 crore during Q1 FY27, compared with Rs 435 crore in Q1 FY26. The order inflow comprised Rs 589 crore from Mining & Construction, Rs 581 crore from Defence and Rs 11 crore from Rail & Metro, reflecting healthy demand across its diversified business portfolio.

With these additions, BEML’s total order book reached Rs 16284 crore as of the end of Q1 FY27, providing strong revenue visibility and a robust foundation for sustained growth. The healthy order pipeline, coupled with improving operational performance, positions BEML well to capitalise on emerging opportunities across Defence, Rail & Metro and Mining & Construction sectors.
