BEML records strong H1 FY27 performance; revenue grows 36.5 %

Bengaluru: BEML Limited, a Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has reported robust financial and business growth in the first half of FY 2026–27, driven by strong performance across Defence, Rail & Metro and Mining & Construction Equipment sectors.

Revenue from operations rose 36.53% to Rs 2,011.23 crore during H1 FY27, compared with Rs 1,473.08 crore in the corresponding period last year. EBITDA surged 125.11% to Rs 88.76 crore against Rs 39.43 crore, while the company turned profitable, reporting a net profit of Rs 5.67 crore compared with a loss of Rs 9.12 crore in H1 FY26.

A major highlight was the landmark Rs 5,400 crore contract from the National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited for the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail project, the largest single order in BEML's history.

The company also strengthened its international presence by securing a USD 60 million Letter of Intent for metro rolling stock in Africa and a USD 1.3 million export order for indigenously developed 6x6 High Mobility Vehicles for the Middle East.

Reinforcing its commitment to indigenous technology and sustainable engineering, BEML unveiled India's first indigenously designed 60-tonne electric dump truck, BH60-EV, at its Mysuru Complex.

Reflecting its expanding business prospects, BEML's total order book crossed the historic Rs 20,000 crore milestone, providing strong revenue visibility and positioning the company for sustained growth in domestic and international markets
