Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has disclosed a 25.6 per cent decline in consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter concluding on March 31, 2024. This decrease has been attributed to increased expenses. The largest state-owned power generation equipment manufacturer recorded a net profit of Rs 489.62 crore, down from Rs 658.02 crore during the corresponding period in the previous year. The firm's total expenses for the March quarter rose to Rs 7,794.11 crore, up from Rs 7,411.64 crore a year earlier. Meanwhile, the total income for the quarter saw a slight increase to Rs 8,416.84 crore, compared to Rs 8,338.61 crore in the previous year.
