Call for developing futuristic technologies in defence : Dr R K Tyagi

Dr R.K. Tyagi, President, Aeronautical Society of India and former Chairman, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, while delivering the 19th Dr S Srinivasan Memorial Lecture at Thiruvananthapuram on September 4, 2018  spoke about the need of development of future technologies replacing soldier heavy wars by techno wars, UAV and drones.  In times to come, the dogged fighter aircraft battles will be replaced by space armed forces and hypersonic weapons, he said. The cyber space and satellites will play a very defining role in the future wars, Dr Srinivasan said.    Dr. S.Srinivasan Memorial Lecture is jointly organized every year by Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), ISRO and Aeronautical Society of India, Thiruvananthapuram Branch in the fond memory of late Padma  Dr. S.Srinivasan who was a scientist of great repute.
