Cantt Boards seek GST compensation from Govt
With the introduction of GST, the Octroi tax/Terminal tax/Local Body tax imposed by a few Cantonment Boards stands subsumed in the GST, for which compensation has been sought from the Government. There are 62 Cantonments in the Country which are located in 19 States.
