The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case on a complaint from Principal Commissioner of Customs, Ahmadabad against two Superintendents of Customs, Air Intelligence Unit, SVP International Airport, Ahmadabad on the allegations that some unscrupulous persons were indulging in smuggling of gold in the form of paste and also 24 carat pure gold jewellery from abroad through SVP International Airport, Ahmadabad by engaging carriers. Meanwhile, CBI registered a case against six then officials of Indian Overseas Bank, Vijaywada/Guntur and other unknown persons & public servants alleging misappropriation of depositor’s money.
