Centre amends Chapter 27-Schedule-1 of Import Policy

The central government has made an amendment in the Import Policy (Condition No. 07 (ii) Chapter 27 of Schedule-1 of ITC (HS), 2022 and will be applicable with immediate effect. The revised policy states that the importer can apply for registration not earlier than 60th day and till the arrival date (Zero Day) of consignment at gateway port. The Automatic Registration Number shall remain valid for a period of 75 days. Importers shall have to enter the registration number and expiry date of Registration in the Bill of Entry to enable Customs for clearance of consignment.
