Centre fixes cadre strength of IAS, IPS and IFoS officers in Laddakh

In order to strengthen the administration in Ladakh, the Union Government has fixed the cadre strength of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Forest Service (IFoS) in the Union Territory. Moreover, financial assistance to both the Hill Development Councils has been substantially increased for creation of public infrastructure. This has been stated by the Ministry of Home Affairs in response to the observations and recommendations made by the Department-Related Parliamentary Standing Committee.
