The centre has given one-time option  to IAS, IPS and IFoS officers to choose Old Pension Scheme (OPS) however when IAS Association of Chhattisgarh has welcomed the move, the IAS Association of Kerala is planning to represent to DoPT for extending the eligibility criteria. All India services officers appointed via the civil services examination in 2003 and 2004, as well as the Indian Forest Service examination in 2003, are considered qualified to benefit. This option may be exercised by the concerned members of service latest by 30th November 2023. Manoj Pingua , the President of IAS Association of Chhattisgarh, while talking to the Whispers In The Corridors welcomed the move. R Prasanna , the General Secretary said ‘It will boost the morale of the officers’. The General Secretary of IAS Association of Kerala M G Rajamanickam told Whispers In The Corridors, ‘We are planning to represent to DoPT for extending OPS up to 2009 batch’.
