Centre wary of hiking pay packages of PSU banks\' CMDs

Central Government is wary of bringing pay package of PSU banks' CMDs at par with their counterparts in private banks considering the fact that many CMDs and other top brass of Navratna PSUs many also start demanding similar pay packages, say sources. Another Government contention, say insiders, is that PSU banks do attract talent regularly as there is more job security in PSU banks than private banks at all levels despite wide gaps in pay scales compared to private banks.
