Chief Secretary, Manipur delays relinquishing office

The Chief Secretary of Manipur, Vineet Joshi, who deputed as Secretary in Higher Education Department in the Government of India on central deputation, is likely to relinquish his charge in a week or so. Earlier, he had plans to leave office on December 31 but now, he has extended it for a few more days. No announcement of the new Chief Secretary has been made yet. The centre is contemplating upon some names and three officers are reportedly under consideration.
