Chiefs of all three forces are of same batch, to retire same year

Admiral Karambir Singh who assumed command of the Indian Navy on May 31, 2019 as the 24th Chief of the Naval Staff will retire in May 2022, while Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria who took over as the 26th Chief of the Air Staff on September 30, 2019, is retiring in September 2022.  Besides, Lt Gen M M Naravane - appointed Chief of Army Staff on December 31, 2019 - is scheduled to retire in December 2022. All the three Chiefs had joined their respective forces in the year 1980.
